OAK BROOK, Ill., Feb. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Hub Group (NASDAQ: HUBG) announced today that Geoff DeMartino has joined the organization as Vice President of Corporate Development effective February 1st. In his new position, Mr. DeMartino is responsible for identifying and integrating acquisition opportunities. Mr. DeMartino will also be responsible for corporate strategy and will report directly to Dave Yeager, Hub's Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of its Board of Directors.
Since 2013, Mr. DeMartino served as Senior Vice President, Global Corporate Development for Thermon Group Holdings Inc. Mr. DeMartino began his career in investment banking in 1999 as an Analyst for Bear, Stearns & Co. – Chicago, where he used his modeling and valuation skills to quickly advance to Associate and then Vice President in 2006. He was subsequently recruited by Moelis & Co., a top advisory firm, and from 2008 through 2012 handled a wide range of mid-market merger and acquisition transactions along with finance and restructuring work. After being promoted to Senior Vice President in 2010, he became a key leader on the firm's merger & acquisition team, including advising Hub Group on several potential transactions. In 2013, Mr. DeMartino transitioned to an in-house corporate development role at Thermon Group, where he was in charge of defining and executing its acquisition growth strategy. In April 2015, his contributions led to an Executive Officer role.
